On the night of Saturday 10/11/2012 another young oak tree was destroyed in the park by vandals. The tree, which had been planted along the diagonal path between the pavilion garden and the playground and was well established, had been snapped and twisted off at the base. This is the second tree along the path to be
destroyed in the same way. Both trees were paid for by The Friends of Cottenham Park 3 years ago.
The park gates are locked at dusk and The Friends appeal for residents in adjacent properties to report any night time disturbances directly to the police.
